The Find

We're Kristen and Julia — longtime friends who partnered together to bring a·scenting to life. What started as a shared love for beautiful old things became something bigger: a brand built on the belief that what you bring into your home should have meaning, history, and intention.

It began with hunting. Estate sales, thrift stores, flea markets, antique shops — anywhere beautiful old things end up waiting to be found again. Vessels with weight and character, the kind of glass that catches light differently than anything made today. We kept picking them up, turning them over in our hands, imagining them on a shelf or a nightstand.

The Pour

Then one day, it clicked: what if the vessel wasn't just beautiful — what if it was useful, too? What if we could pour a candle into something worth keeping long after the wax was gone?

That's when we started experimenting. Clean soy wax. Carefully balanced scents. And always, always — a vessel that deserved a second life. We pour every candle by hand from our home studio in Delray Beach, Florida, in small batches, because that's the only way to do it right.

The Keep

Most candles are made to be used up and thrown away. Ours aren't. When the wax is gone, what remains is a piece of vintage glassware — a vase, a candy dish, a jewelry holder, a piece of your home with its own history.

That's the heart of a·scenting: the candle burns down, the vessel stays.

The Name

a·scenting is a play on words — ascending, meaning to rise, and scenting, meaning to fill a space with fragrance. Together, they describe what we do: elevate the everyday through scent and story.

The dot in the middle is intentional. It's a pause. A breath. A small reminder to slow down and notice the beautiful things around you.
