Veil | Vintage Cut Crystal Rocks Glass
Veil | Vintage Cut Crystal Rocks Glass
Soft and unfussy, like the moment the windows open and the sheets come off the line. Veil is the quiet part of the day — warm light, fresh linen, nothing trying too hard.
This Veil is poured into a vintage cut crystal rocks glass with a deep prism and hobstar cut pattern. Glasses like this anchored the bar carts of mid-century American homes — the everyday vessel for scotch over ice, bourbon neat, an old fashioned on a Friday afternoon. She was meant for the slower rituals, the evening unwind, the first drink of the weekend. There’s something tender about filling her with something this soft instead. A whiskey glass, holding clean cotton. The quiet after the party, not the party itself.
When the wax is gone, she goes back to her first job. Pour a finger of something good. Or use her for a water glass by the bed, a toothbrush holder, a small jar of wildflowers. She’s the kind of vessel that earns a spot wherever she lands.
Every vessel is a one-of-a-kind vintage find. No two are alike. The candle burns down, the vessel stays.

The Vessel
A vintage cut crystal old fashioned (rocks) glass with a deep prism and hobstar pattern. Mid-20th century, in the tradition of American and European cut crystal barware that defined 1950s–1970s entertaining. No maker’s mark. Sourced from a South Florida estate sale. Minor imperfections may be present — these are marks of origin and age, not flaws.
Candle Care
Trim wick to ¼” before each burn. Allow the wax to melt fully to the edges on the first burn to prevent tunneling. Burn for no more than 3–4 hours at a time. Never leave unattended. When a thin layer of wax remains, it’s time to retire the flame and start the vessel’s second life. Hand wash after use. Not microwave or dishwasher safe.
